House is back! For a brief moment. The Devil Bed takes us through the experience of one antique collector as he hunts down what could a rather valuable piece of furniture of ill-repute. He discovers too late why the bed is called such.

More infrastructure work happened this week? Will it ever end? Eventually, I hope. The exciting thing, really, is this edition’s feature, House: A Prologue, which raises House to the forefront of projects to work on. While it sits in the editorial pipeline, I’m making more work for myself by writing vignettes taking place in the house before the arrival of Solomon. Will these make it into the book? Will they, perhaps, earn a place in its sequel instead? Only time will tell. For now, enjoy the glimpse into the house’s notorious history.
