Not too long ago I shared 🗿 The Gaping Maw, a short bit of cosmic horror which soft-launched the Conglomerate series of horror. The Gaping Maw was but one character’s narrative, and in its rough, published form here, Backstage, it is incomplete. The story has since been finished—or, rather, its very rough first draft is done. In its final version, it will read as a series of journal entries found by an extraction team. What follows here is background as to why an extraction team was sent to the site in the first place.
